At this year's bookfair we have an incredible wide range of groups, campaigns, publishers, distros, centres and bookshops coming along. Check out the “bookings” to see who will be there.
We have some 60 hours of various meetings to interest all tastes. These are on the “meetings” page. The time table of what is happening when is now on this page.
For the fifth year running, be holding the event at Queen Mary’s, University of London on the Mile End Road. As the university is doing building works we are holding the bookfair in a different part of the venue – but still on the same site in Mile End Road. All the activities will now be in one building rather than spread out over the Uni. This will be much better especially for parents with kids and disabled comrades.
We will also have all the other stuff the bookfair is known for. There will be a room dedicated to just films and another for cabaret. Like normal, there will be two kids’ spaces. One for up to 5’s and one for 5 to 15 year olds. This year, apart from the wide variety of anarchist groups and individuals having meetings, we are hoping to have a few surprises. Watch this space.
We need help publicising the bookfair. We want to get more people along to find out what we all do and say. We want to aim at those who may not have heard much about anarchism, apart from the rubbish on the TV. So, if you have any media contacts, go for it!
We want to continue to make anarchism a threat again. So, if you can help by taking leaflets or posters to distribute (especially in London) email us at mail [@] anarchistbookfair.org.uk and we will get them to you. Or, pick them up from Freedom Bookshop.
