NYC's Talibam! (Matt Mottel - synths & Kevin Shea - drums) first hooked up with Alan Wilkinson courtesy of Bo' Weavil Recordings blind dating service for a London basement show in May '08. According to Bo'Weavil "Like a late '60's Sadean love-in ripe with Joycean epiphanies, Talibam! heard in Wilkinson's tone the strength and grit of a fine british pint served cool and fresh...a perfect energy to swing-bounce their rolly polly hieroglyphic dance mayhem."
A second gig happened in fall '08 and was followed up by an '09 recording session that resulted in the 'Dem 'ol Apple Pie Melodies' LP released by Bo'Weavil in 2010.
Now the trio are back together for a string of dates spreading their unique brand of improvised chaos across Europe. We look forward to having them here.
