BOMB THE SYSTEM

A tribute to graffiti art and the city where it all began. Blest, a 19-year-old graffiti writer, has just graduated from high school. With no ambition toward mainstream goals of work and family, he spends his time bombing the city with graffiti messages until he and his crew become the most wanted bombers by the corrupt NYPD Vandal Squad. He even attracts major media and gallery attention for his tags. Also part of Blest's crew are Buk 50 and his younger brother Lune, whose arrest and beating by the NYPD causes the crew to wage a full-on graffiti war against the city. As they fight with their spray cans and their tags, Blest meets a political activist, Alexandra. Soon after, Blest's relationship with Buk 50 and the crew fragments as Blest ponders his position in life.

MURAL POR LA ORGANIZACION Y LA AUTOGESTION

El muralismo constituye un elemento importante de la cultura popular. Sus imágenes testimoniales dan cuenta de elementos que concientizan visualmente al espectador-transeúnte, es decir al receptor, comunicando y educando por medio de la denuncia social, invitándonos a recordar y desde el recuerdo crear. Un proceso de interacción social de vital importancia para la asimilación identitaria del sujeto popular en ciernes, quien no es sólo el receptor, sino también emisor involucrado en el mensaje que recrea con pintura y brocha en mano su intención política, relatando en la calle acontecimientos históricos y actuales, generándose un diálogo permanente expuesto a las inclemencias del tiempo y a las miradas de todos.

MURAL POR LA ORGANIZACION Y LA AUTOGESTION

Cuando los trabajadores lleguen a participar realmente en el proceso de producción y sean miembros activos de los centros de trabajo podremos empezar a hablar de que están haciendo un trabajo decente, genuinamente decente. Esto lleva consigo introducir en la vida económica los principios básicos de la democracia radical y participativa. En un proceso en el cual un colectivo de personas, organizadas en redes (conversacionales) de producción que varían según el momento y el contexto, toman decisiones horizontalmente y actúan colectivamente en la búsqueda de bienes, acciones, ideas, servicios o reivindicaciones colectivas que los afectan, habiendo una posesión colectiva de los recursos empleados.
