How is Queer done?
What is, or how does one inhabit, a Queer (dis)position?
]performance s pa c e [ investigates the multiple stances and spaces of being through positing a program of body based art works as a lens to further investigate the concept of a Queer (dis)position. This Queer is interested in bodies - Bodies, being, which agitate notions of static identity models, logic and reason, along with expected social roles. This programme will oscillate through and around multiple artistic methodologies, voices and spaces, both within and outside of the gallery architecture – Highlighting the individual as a unit within the communal. As actions unfold, notions of Queer as radical intervention will come under scrutiny as we ask how and if a Queer (dis)position is possible within formalized structures.
